Produce and stone fruits have a long history on this ground.
(dating back to 1871!!!)
We are trying our best to bring that tradition back to life.
We planted 2 acres of peaches in 2015 and have been planting more every year since. We also planted a small test plot of apples in 2018 that started producing apples in 2022.
We started planting our U-Pick field in the spring of 2023. We currently have 1,325 peach trees growing in this field that will hopefully be big enough for the public to pick in 2025.
50 Chestnut trees were planted in the Spring of 2025 to help diversify the farm and orchard. These Chestnut trees are very slow-growing and will take around 10 years before they produce substantial nuts every fall to early winter.
We grow everything that we sell on the same ground that our great-great-grandfather did.
(we have a bit more technology on the farm today than they did though)
