reBorn boutique & marketplace LLC is located at the southern end of Wichita, nestled in an old general store type building.
Once known as the peach capital of the world, southern Wichita hosted many peach orchards with one of the country’s most renowned being Blood Orchard.
The building was built in 1885 and has been owned by four generations of the Blood family. Blood Orchards peach trees were contaminated by salt in the ground water in 1984, thus ending over 100 years of orchards on the family owned property.
In 2015 the fifth generation started the orchard replanting process (on the same ground) with a little patch of test peach varieties and has continued replanting hundreds more trees. Currently we have about 700 trees and are planting more trees every spring!
We have 13 different varieties of peaches, 7 different varieties of apples, 5 different varieties of cherries and sandplums.
Check with us in early March of each year if you would like to come out to the farm and help on planting weekend!
